The information in the first part of the book was great for explaining raw food, preparation, dehydration, seasoning, ect. The recepies were good for the most part. Problem is always some unknown item or non avaliablility. BIG problem was that the page numbers in the index didn’t always match correct page and reference numbers between receipes never matched. Probably reason book was reduced in price. Otherwise is a great book and great and tasty recepies

1 Stars Great Book, Bad Second Edition
I recently purchased the new second edition after repeatedly checking out the first edition from the library. I’m extremely disappointed because the index is inaccurate with such mistakes as: “Portobello Mushroom-Marinated and Stuffed” is listed as located on page 113, but soups are on that page. Cheeses are listed as starting on page 187, but crackers are on that page. And I never found the recipe for “Parmesan Cheese”. To make matters worse, after only looking through the book 3 or 4 times, the binding is coming apart. They have used recycled materials which is great, but it is of low quality. I paid for a book that I can’t make full use of. I E-mailed the company about it, but have not received a response. I think they should replace their flawed product to customers who request it. I do not recommend purchasing this second edition.

A very easy to use book. Lots of versatile recipes that is good for any type of meal.

5 Stars One of the best Raw Books written!
One of the best all round raw food books, that includes some great recipes.

This is one of the more recent ‘text’ books on Raw and Living foods. I bought it after seeing it in nearly every raw foodie’s home library! I asked about it, and was told it was a great starter text, and a very solid addition to any health library too. After reading it I totally agree and recommend it 100%.

I think if I had to have only two raw food books, I’d add Raw Food and Health, as its the granddaddy of all raw food books, and goes into areas that I have not seen in anyone raw food book. Both of these books are a complete library!

3 Stars complete book of raw food
I think I got an older copy because the index was wrong. Page numbers were off on some things and some recipes that were referenced didn’t exist. I saw another copy that had a white cover and it was correct. No pictures in either book.
