User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Many good recipes
219 pages of recipes, including 19 soups, 29 entrĂ©es, 21 desserts, in addition to many sauces, dressings, dips, salads, breakfasts and beverages. Very good background information on raw food and ingredients. In contrast to what the title suggests, this book is more for every-day “cooking” than for dinner parties. CON: Only for about 1 out of 3 recipes there is a color picture. Flimsy soft cover. The photos do not look as good as in some of the books written by raw-food chefs.

2 Stars Very Basic, more Everyday than Gourmet . . .
It’s not a bad book and in general the ingredients are readily available, but the recipies are pretty simple and sometimes plain. Not really Gourmet at all. If you already have lots of raw books, this is good to add to your collection, but try some others first if you are just getting started.

4 Stars The Raw Gourmet
This is a great book. The recipes are easy and colorful and appetitizing. The photos are beautiful!

4 Stars Pretty, yummy and doable recipes
I’ve owned this book for a few months and have made a handful of recipes. Beautiful photography, coherent directions, good intro on raw foods along with a basic set of menus and an overview on the basics of food combining. My chief beef with the book — and the reason I’m rating it 4 stars instead of 5 — is the sloppy index, which I’ve been correcting as I find errors.

5 Stars The Raw Gourmet
Great raw food recipe book. The photos are awesome. A beginner raw foodist will enjoy this book.
