5 Stars Rawsome:Maximizing Health, Energy, and Culinary Delight With the Raw Foods Diet
I love this book because it contains so much pertinent information necessary for today’s diet. It includes information about the raw food diet, the acid/alkaline diet, the important pH of your body, and tells you what foods have which vitamins and minerals. With so much information, you can determine which raw foods can help you keep a normal pH v alue and your acidity under control.
5 Stars Gives a lot of Good Infromation!!!

4 Stars Another good resource
I haven’t tried any of the recipes yet, so I can’t comment on that. But I did like the writing style and the book flowed easily. This is not my favorite raw resource (see my other reviews), but it is a good one to have on the bookshelf.
5 Stars The best one for me
I have looked through other raw food books, and this one was the best for me, a beginner. I like that this book includes a raw foods encyclopedia, which helps me understand more about what these raw foods will do for me, good and bad. Unlike the other raw foods book I have, this book provides research based information, and not just from other raw food books. I guess it doesn’t hurt that Brigitte is an herbalist who knows about plants and loves them too. Although I don’t agree with 100% of what she says (such as her opinion that a raw foods diet costs less than a cooked diet), I appreciate the helpful information she is sharing with readers. Also, I like that her recipes are simple, as I have been intimidated by complex recipes from other raw food books. I wish I had purchased this book first. Then I wouldn’t have spent money on the other one.
5 Stars How does that go? “This book saved my life…”
This was the first raw food book I ever bought and it is a powerhouse of information, from nutrition to kitchen equipment to beauty tips, it got me on the right track from the first. I successfully transitioned to raw foods, lost 50 pounds, basically put my type 2 diabetes in remission, I sleep better, have so much more energy, think more clearly and so much more. Of course, when one is looking at a cookbook, one wants to know about the recipes. They are delicious. This is still one of my favorite go to books for the basics and the elegant, alike. I give this a 5 stars, thumbs up, you won’t be sorry, recommendation.
