4 Stars Great starting plan
I really love the variety of food this book has you eat. I think following a set plan for 30 days really helps set you on the path to a healthy diet and healthy living. When the 30 days are up, you are already in the habits the book starts you on.
1 Stars impossible
i bought this book because i love the show biggest loser. too bad “the ranch” is impossible to duplicate at home. if you are going to go to the grocery every single day and devote hours and hours to making three meals from scarth every day of the week then this is the book for you!! if you have any life at all this book is not gonna help you lose weight
4 Stars Love the Biggest Loser
I just started the 30 day diet, I like that it gives recipes right behind the days menu, no having to flip to the back of the book to find them. This book is set up well and has inspirational messages from previous players to help you along. Thanks!
5 Stars Great guide to get started
I bought this book for the 30 day by day plans. I also enjoyed that it had the current season’s cast. As mentioned in other reviews, the menus are good guides but the ingredients are often used just once in the 30 days and most recipes yield a large number of servings. As many people are the sole dieter in the house or perhaps live alone, it would have been more helpful if they had “serves 1 (or even 2)” sizes and use the other meal on another day’s menu. I had to scale down the serving sizes and change the menus to use up the other serving and other ingredients.
What I LOVE about the book is the daily exercise plans. Each day outlines what exercises need to be done with photos to show proper form. There is also a 30 day calendar outlining the progression of exercises. Each day builds on the next so it was a great way to get started from couch potato to exercising regularly.
I enjoyed the pictures and little blurbs from the current cast and where I am currently watching these people each week, it had more meaning to me that comments from contestants from past seasons.
This is a great book for those who need an organized plan to get started on their weight loss journeys. You just need to play with the menus a bit.
2 Stars It’s all true, but Impratical to follow for a life time
This book is filled with good balance meal plans but for the average American family or person tiring to change forever, it is far to difficult.
Of course some have the will power to focus on a committed change as this book suggest, but for most of us, this will be one of those lost the weight and gained it back. diet diet diet don’t’ eat this do eat that , portions and so on. As I said those with a strong will power will be able to do this the rest of their life but for most of us this is a tuff road to follow. We need simplicity and health
